THE KING'S SPEECH - Finally, SEE the British drama that swept the Oscars this year (Best Actor, Best Picture, Best Director)! Colin Firth stars as stuttering underdog King George VI, who was crowned unexpectedly (and unenthusiastically) when his brother abdicated the throne. Geoffrey Rush stars as the speech therapist who would help George address the masses in his famed wartime radio speeches. Helena Bonham Carter plays his wife Elizabeth.

RABBIT HOLE - Nicole Kidman was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar this year for her portrayal of a mother trying to come to terms with the accidental death of her 4-year-old son, while her husband (Aaron Eckhart) grieves in his own way. This may sound depressing on paper, but with an excellent director like John Cameron Mitchell (HEDWIG & THE ANRGY INCH, SHORTBUS), we're sure this will defy all expectations.

SOMEWHERE - The latest from Sofia Coppola (LOST IN TRANSLATION) stars Stephen Dorff as a hard-partying Hollywood star who is faced to confront the emptiness of his existence when his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning) comes for an extended surprise-visit.

IF GOD IS WILLING & DA CREEK DON'T RISE - Spike Lee returns to New Orleans five years after his Emmy-winning documentary WHEN THE LEVEES BROKE, to see how the city is faring in its efforts to re-build, just as another tragedy hits with the BP oil spill.

GULLIVER'S TRAVELS - Jack Black and Emily Blunt star in this modern re-telling of Jonathan Swift's satirical classic.

THE WAY BACK - A new men-vs-nature epic from one of our favorite Australian directors, Peter Weir (PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK, GALLIPOLI, WITNESS, etc). Expect breathtaking panoramas! Loosely based on a true story, it follows seven prisoners who escaped from a Soviet prison camp in 1940, traveling on foot over 4,000 miles from Siberia to India. Escapees include an American engineer (Ed Harris), a Russian criminal (Colin Farrell), a Polish soldier (Jim Sturgess), and a young Polish refugee (Saorise Ronan).

PLASTIC PLANET - An unsettling documentary on the effects of that ubiquitous substance, on both the environment and the human body. The history of plastic use is presented, with disturbing facts and figures, plus interviews with some of the people who are repressing studies of its devastating effects.

LITTLE SPARROWS - This Australian drama takes place during a family's last Christmas together, as the matriarch - unhappy in her long marriage and dying of cancer - wonders whether she has provided her three daughters with the strength to make the right choices for themselves.

I'M DANGEROUS WITH LOVE - This new documentary traces an ex-heroin-addict's quest to cure other addicts the way he cured himself, with the hallucinogen ibogaine, an illegal "class A" substance derived from the root of a West African plant. When one of his patients nearly dies, Dimitri Mugianis decides to travel to Gabon and learn about the more traditional uses of ibogaine, undergoing a shamanic ceremony in search of guidance...

ANYWHERE, USA - An often-hilarious indie comedy about life in Asheville, North Carolina, broken into three parts titled Penance, Loss, and Ignorance. In the first, two "redneck" conspiracy theorists tail an Arab that one of their neglected girlfriends met on an online dating site. In the second, a young orphan girl who travels with her stoned, hobo uncle learns she has been lied to about the tooth fairy. And in the third, a middle-class, middle-aged white man suddenly realizes he has no black friends, and sets out to find some...

BEHIND THE BURLY Q - This ambitious documentary chronicles the history of burlesque, a misunderstood art with roots in vaudeville. Narrated by Alan Alda, whose father was actually a burlesque performer, with rare archival footage of burlesque shows and interviews with performers from its heyday. Fascinating stuff!

TAPPED - "Is access to clean drinking water a basic human right, or a commodity that should be bought and sold like any other article of commerce?" This new documentary from the producers of 'Who Killed the Electric Car' is a look into the unregulated industry that aims to privatize and sell back our water.

SQUARE GROUPER - This new documentary from the director of COCAINE COWBOYS chronicles Miami's weed-smuggling scene of the 1970s, "populated with redneck pirates, a ganja-dealing church, and the longest serving marijuana prisoner in American history."

SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE BIG CHASE - The latest quirky, family-friendly special from the makers of WALLACE & GROMIT.

And here's just a few of the classics we've added to our ever-growing collection this week!

KES - Named by the British Film Institute as one of the 10 Best British Films of the Century, this beloved 1969 classic from Ken Loach (THE NAVIGATORS) finally comes to DVD! A 15-year-old miner's son in Northern England tries to escape his dead-end life by taming and bonding with a wild kestrel.

SEXTETTE - In Mae West's notorious final film (1978), she plays an aging actress who has just wed her sixth much-younger husband (Timothy Dalton). The honeymooning couple are continuously prevented from consummating their marriage by a string of ex-husbands including Ringo Starr, George Hamilton, and Tony Curtis. This ultra-campy musical comedy also stars Alice Cooper, Keith Moon, and Dom DeLuise. Mae West was 85 at the time!

DREAMCHILD - Sir Ian Holm stars as Charles Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll, in this 1985 drama about the complex friendship between the shy, stuttering author and Alice Liddell, the young girl he wrote "Alice in Wonderland" for. The story takes place in 1932, when 80-year-old Alice visits New York to accept an honorary degree. Confused by American customs and her newfound celebrity, Alice is haunted by the characters from the books (as envisioned by LABYRINTH-era Jim Henson!), as she comes to a realization about her childhood friendship.

LARK RISE TO CANDLEFORD - Set at the end of the 19th century, this much-requested BBC series tells the story of two Oxfordshire towns: a fast-growing market town and a sleepy hamlet trying to hold onto the past. Laura, the eldest daughter in the Timmins house, leaves the quiet life of Lark Rise to find work and face adulthood in the market town of Candleford...
