THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO - Must-see adaptation of the first novel in Stieg Larssen's bestselling Millennium Trilogy. In Sweden, a wronged investigative journalist and a troubled young computer hacker are paid to solve the 40-year-old murder of an industrial mogul's niece. The dying man suspects that the murderer is a member of his own family, but it seems that's just the tip of the iceberg of sinister goings-on...

A SINGLE MAN - Fashion designer turned director Tom Ford not only has an exceptional eye for detail, he's made an immensely moving film in which those little details speak volumes. Colin Firth plays a professor struggling to find meaning after the death of his long-time partner Jim, and Julianne Moore is his desperately lonely best friend. A tear-jerker, but so obviously a labor of love that it's worth it.

WHEN YOU'RE STRANGE - This new documentary about the Doors, directed by Tom DiCillo (LIVING IN OBLIVION) and narrated by Johnny Depp, features plenty of never-before-seen footage, including a movie former film-school student Jim Morrison made of himself in the desert. A must-see for music geeks, DiCillo fans, and anyone with a morbid curiosity about the ravings of the Lizard King.

MICMACS - The directors of AMÉLIE and CITY OF LOST CHILDREN return to the surreal slapstick/thriller vibe that made their best effort DELICATESSEN so unique. This time a motley band of junkyard dealers are the David going up against a military-industrial Goliath. Available now, only at La Dolce Video!

THE TAKE - This British crime-family series set in 1984 follows the travails of gangster Freddie, recently released from prison and itching to take over the London criminal world. Stars Tom Hardy, who impressed the bloody hell out of us in BRONSON!

IT CAME FROM KUCHAR - Without the legendary underground films of the Kuchar brothers, there would be no PINK FLAMINGOS, among other things. This highly recommended documentary transports us to the New York underground filmmaking scene of the '60s, an idealistic time when art was made for art's sake and the idea of making a living off one's craft was considered anathema. George and Mike Kuchar look back over 54 years of quirky DIY cinema that would go on to inspire everything from John Waters to BARBARELLA.

BROOKLYN'S FINEST - Gritty new cop thriller from Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY), with a can't-go-wrong cast including Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, Ellen Barkin, Wesley Snipes, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

LAST CHANCE TO SEE - BBC favorite Stephen Fry teams up with zoologist Mark Carwardine to seek out the rarest, most endangered animals on Earth. Retracing the route their friend Douglas Adams took 20 years ago in the same pursuit, they brave jungles and snowy mountaintops around the world to see how these animals are faring now.

EYEBORGS - Smart indie sci-fi in which the threat of terrorism has prompted the creation of little mobile robotic cameras, "eyeborgs," which watch over the populace even in their own homes. When a federal agent notices an eyeborg has recorded an event much differently than the way he recalls it, he begins to suspect that the robots are up to something...
