Language-borne virus, delectable layers of meaning, Canadians under quarantine!
Finally, something exceedingly different! One of our favorite films of the year. Based on a novel titled PONTYPOOL CHANGES EVERYTHING, this Canadian thriller proposes a new kind of virus: one that is language-borne. The film not only has many delectable layers of meaning to it, it's also FUN, in a way that few contemporary films can compete with.
Shock-jock talk radio DJ "Grant Mazzy" invokes the movie's blubbering, mumbling chaos with a poetic rant about a missing cat, and soon his sleepy Canadian town is under quarantine... We couldn't wait for the U.S. release of this, so you will only find this Canadian import at La Dolce Video. From the director of HARD CORE LOGO and THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS. You must see this! -Aimee |
