MY DOG TULIP - The N.Y. Times calls this beautifully hand-drawn adaptation of J.R. Ackerley's beloved memoir "one of the most sophisticated dog movies ever created." A lonely, middle-aged Ackerley, voiced by Christopher Plummer, rescues a young German shepherd who has been imprisoned indoors for her entire life, and finds in her the "constant, single-hearted, incorruptible" companion he has failed to find in a human. Other voice actors include Isabella Rossellini and Lynn Redgrave, in one of her final performances.

COLD WEATHER - In this acclaimed indie mystery, a former forensic science student returns to Portland to live with his older sister, landing work at a dead-end job in an ice factory. When his ex-girlfriend goes missing, he finally has the opportunity to use his detective skills, attempting to track her through a maze of complex clues with the help of his sister and his slacker co-worker.

WEST IS WEST - DVD release pushed back until August 27!? We'll keep our fingers crossed...

THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED - Based on a nonfiction essay by Oliver Sacks (writer of AWAKENINGS), and set in the 1980s. A father struggles to bond with his estranged son after the son develops a brain tumor that prevents him from forming new memories and keeps him clinging to their old falling-out. The only way to reach him seems to be through the rebellious, psychedelic music that he listened to as a teen, which the father can't stand. Spoiler: yes, this involves a Grateful Dead concert.

STAKE LAND - This critically acclaimed thriller takes place in an America that economic collapse and political chaos have turned into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.  Oh, and there's also the bit about a vampire epidemic sweeping across the country, embraced by a Fundamentalist Christian militia who believe the all-consuming creatures are instruments of God. A teenage boy and a rogue vampire hunter attempt to travel from the Deep South to the "New Eden" of Canada amidst all of this. Kind of like a supernatural version of THE ROAD?

DEAR LEMON LIMA - Set in Fairbanks, Alaska, this indie audience favorite tells the story of a half-Inuit teenage girl who seeks out a scholarship to the prep school that her ex-boyfriend attends. Once there, she finds herself a social outcast, so she decides to become captain of the school's Snowstorm Survivor competition in their own "World Eskimo Indian Olympics." Will she win back her crush's heart? Will she even want to?

LAST NIGHT - Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington (AVATAR) are a newly married Manhattan couple who spend a weekend apart, one being tempted by sexy coworker Eva Mendes, the other by sophisticated ex-boyfriend Guillaume Canet (TELL NO ONE).

THE PERFECT GAME - Based on a true story, this well-reviewed, warm and fuzzy family feature is about a group of boys from Monterrey, Mexico who become the first non-U.S. team to win the Little League World Series. From the director of ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD (a veteran of heartwarming baseball movies).

ZEN: VENDETTA, CABAL, & RATKING - Set amidst the beauty and drama of Rome, this new BBC mystery series stars Rufus Sewell as Detective Aurelio Zen, naively honest in a land of corrupt bureaucracies. As seen on Masterpiece Theatre!

RIO - In the latest family feature from the creators of ICE AGE, a rare macaw who believes he is the last of his kind leaves the comfort of his cage in Minnesota when he discovers there is a female still living in the rain forests of Brazil...

SOUL SURFER - Based on the true story of teenage surfer Bethany Hamilton, who went pro against-all-odds after her left arm was bitten off by a shark.
